Seaside: The festival for all the senses - for the first time in Spiez

What is special about your festival this year?
It's the first edition of the Seaside Festival in Spiez. We are really looking forward to realizing it in the most beautiful bay in Europe.

Which acts are you particularly proud of?
The fact that the great Emeli Sandé is coming to the Bernese Oberland is a real stroke of luck. But also the fact that Züri West are now on tour with a new album after a long break. Züri West have a long and very successful history in the Bernese Oberland. Characterized by MC Anliker and his unique Café Mokka.

What criteria did you use to put together the line-up?
The Seaside Festival takes place on the same day as the SummerDays Festival in Arbon. We do most of the booking together and the concept is identical: a classic rock day. This year with Status Quo, Krokus and Manfred Mann's Earth Band, among others, as well as a pop/rock day for a broad audience.

What else is on offer besides the music?
At the Seaside Festival, we attach great importance to ensuring that time with friends is not neglected. That's why we have designed a very attractive food village and open the doors at 12 noon on Friday and Saturday for the Seaside Lunch. The partners in this area have also made conviviality their motto. The large fireplace from Schweizer Fleisch encourages visitors to enjoy a cozy Cervelat barbecue. The Spiez Winegrowers' Cooperative serves its own festival wine and Gstaad mountain cheese makes it clear that in Spiez we are close to the mountains and can slow down.

Festivals don't have a dress code. But is there anything you should bear in mind when it comes to clothing and outfits?
It's like it always is at festivals: despite the latest technologies, weather forecasts are never really one hundred percent accurate. That's why we recommend a light sweater against possible cold at night. A wind and rain jacket in case it does get stormy and wet. To make sure nobody gets sunburnt, we have the Cream team on site. If it gets too loud, you can get free earplugs: our care team will take care of you!

What moment are you personally looking forward to the most?
I'm looking forward like a little child to the moment when we can open the gates on Friday, August 25 at 12.00 noon and the first Seaside Festival Spiez begins!

What was the most memorable/beautiful experience you've already had with the festival?
The support we have received from the people in the region, the local council and the residents during the development of the project is unique. It constantly encourages us to give our all to make this first festival an unforgettable experience.
