YouTube looks back on 2016 with its YouTube Rewind. The statistics reveal which videos were clicked on the most in this country. We show the most clicked music videos.
Enrique Iglesias -Duele el Corazon (ft. Wisin)
It was the summer hit of 2016: "Duele el Corazon" by Enrique Iglesias. The song was at the top of the Swiss singles charts for two weeks and came tenth in the annual YouTube charts.
Era Istrefi -Bonbon
The Kosovar singer Era Istrefi had a surprise success this year with "Bonbon". The song, which is mostly sung in Albanian in the original, has now also been released in an English version.
Zayn -Pillowtalk
The ex-One Direction singer was able to impress with his first solo single: both in Switzerland and worldwide, he ranked 8th among the most clicked music videos of 2016. He is currently working with Taylor Swift on the title track for the film "50 Shades Darker".
Rihanna -Work (ft. Drake)
Rihanna broke the record for the most-clicked video within 24 hours. At the end of the year, it was enough for 7th place in Switzerland and 5th place worldwide for the most clicked music video of the year.
Álvaro Soler -Sofia
Very popular in Switzerland and Italy, but slowly becoming a global star: Álvaro Soler's "Sofia" has already been clicked on over 245 million times.
Calvin Harris -This Is What You Came For (ft. Rihanna)
Not as popular in Switzerland as in the rest of the world: Calvin Harris' new song with Rihanna is the second most clicked video worldwide.
Coldplay -Hymn for the Weekend
Twice in the Letzigrund stadium in Zurich in the summer, the fourth most-clicked music video on YouTube Switzerland at the end of the year. Is it because of the collaboration with Beyoncé? Coldplay rank 9th on the worldwide list.
Mike Posner -I Took aPill in Ibiza (Seeb Remix)
The song about the drug night seems to be going down well in Switzerland. The Seeb remix of Mike Posner's "I Took a Pill in Ibiza" received the third most clicks.
Sia -Cheap Thrills
In second place in Switzerland and seventh worldwide as the most clicked music video: Sia and her retro clip from "Cheap Thrills".
Fifth Harmony -Work from Home (ft. Ty Dolla $ign)
The American girl band is also at the top worldwide: Fifth Harmony's clip was clicked on over 1.1 billion times in 2016.
