The Champions Hockey League showdown will take place at the Swiss Life Arena in Zurich on February 18, 2025. In the "Final dihei", the ZSC Lions will face Swedish representative Färjestad Karlstad.
For the second time in a row, the final of the Champions Hockey League will be held in Switzerland. After last year's final in Geneva, where Genève-Servette Hockey Club secured the title, Zurich is now the venue. The modern Swiss Life Arena provides the perfect setting for this prestigious event.
The ZSC Lions have fought their way through to the final with a strong performance. The traditional Swiss club was able to prevail against strong teams from Europe in a hard-fought knockout phase. The support of the home fans could now become a decisive factor in the final. The fans in the Swiss Life Arena are sure to give Head Coach Marco Bayer's team their loud support once again and get the 12,000-capacity arena shaking.
For the ZSC Lions, the 2025 final is not the first major chapter in the history of the Champions Hockey League. The Zurich team already won the title in the 2008/09 season, when the competition was still played in the old format. Back then, the Lions triumphed in a thrilling final against Russian club Metallurg Magnitogorsk. The victory was a historic moment for Swiss ice hockey and is still regarded as one of the club's greatest successes. Now the Lions have the chance to repeat this success in the new format of the Champions Hockey League and once again take the European crown.
