"Tsunami", "Deadbody", "Superman", "California Rolls" or "Shaolin" - these and similar are the names of their tricks. At a height of twelve meters, the "Night of the Jumps" athletes fly up to 25 meters through the arenas on their motocross machines. The largest international freestyle MX series will return to Zurich on September 7, 2024.
Enhanced with show elements from pyrotechnics and lighting technology, the show has been a global success for 20 years. In Zurich, freestyle heroes such as Luc Ackermann, David Rinaldo, Edgar Torronteras and Maikel Melero will take to the ramps to perform their daring stunts in front of a large audience in the Hallenstadion.
"It's almost impossible to explain what it feels like to jump. It's emotion, pure emotion," says Maxime Gregoire. "We have to know the bike perfectly. I know exactly where my grips are, where my handlebars are. When I have my leg in front or behind. I know exactly what I'm doing," says Brice Izzo.
The motorcycle stars are joined by the best mountain bike and BMX riders in Europe, who perform tricks such as "cash rolls" and "double front flips".
