On February 12, 2025, the BMW IBU World Championships Biathlon Lenzerheide, the big winter highlight in one of Switzerland's most beautiful vacation regions, will kick off with the mixed relay.
From 12 to 23 February, twelve competitions are on the program at the first Biathlon World Championships in Switzerland. Construction work in the Roland Arena has long since begun. A grandstand for 7500 spectators and the VIP area are being built in the stadium. "Compared to the World Cup in December 2023, this means a doubling of the grandstand capacity," says Jürg Capol, CEO of the 2025 Biathlon World Championships. Further large spectator areas will be created along the course.
In addition to day tickets, season tickets for the entire World Championships and weekly tickets for the first or second week of the World Championships are also available.
The easy accessibility of Lenzerheide and the starting times in the afternoon or at lunchtime also make the Biathlon World Championships an attractive destination for day trips - for example with the "Coop Biathlon World Championships Fan Car with Twerenbold". Included are the return journey in a comfortable coach, a World Cup ticket for grandstand sector A1 with a view of the shooting range, start and finish, refreshments on the way and a voucher for the Fan Village worth CHF 25. For adults, the day trip with all the services mentioned costs just CHF 99 (Coop Supercard holders) or CHF 125 (normal price). For children and young people up to the age of 16 CHF 79 (with Coop Supercard) or CHF 105 (normal price).
Travel to and from the event by public transport is also specially encouraged. Regional public transport from Chur is included in every ticket. By RhB: Chur-Tiefencastel (2nd class). By post bus: Tiefencastel-Lantsch/Lenz Biathlon World Championships or Chur-Lenzerheide-Lantsch/Lenz Biathlon World Championships. The public transport offers mentioned are valid on the same days as the tickets. Anyone traveling from home by public transport also benefits from a 15% discount on the World Championships ticket (discount code "WM25").
The ticket also includes the shuttle buses from Thusis (Park+Ride) and within the Lenzerheide vacation region. There are no parking spaces available for spectators around the World Championships venue Roland Arena.
The first "Swiss Volunteers Day" will take place at the Biathlon World Championships on February 20, 2025. The Biathlon World Championships and Swiss Volunteers are inviting the Swiss sports volunteer community to watch the single mixed relay live for free. The idea behind this premiere: to celebrate volunteer work as the foundation of the Biathlon World Championships and countless other sporting events and to create an attractive meeting platform.
