The Brack Super League and the dieci Challenge League are kicking off the 2026–27 season

On the weekend of July 24–26, the whistle will blow to kick off the new season in Swiss football stadiums—at least for the top two divisions. The Brack Super League kicks off the new 2026–27 season on Saturday. The teams in the dieci Challenge League will get underway a day earlier.

Less than a week after the final of the 2026 FIFA World Cup in the U.S., Canada, and Mexico, the action is already kicking off again in Switzerland. While Spain is still celebrating its second World Cup title in style, the top two divisions will begin their new season this coming weekend.

Brack Super League 2026/27 Season

The 130th edition of Switzerland’s top league kicks off for half of the teams on Saturday, July 25, 2026. The other half will then begin a day later, on July 26, 2026. There are plenty of questions heading into this season as well: Will FC Thun successfully defend its title? How will newly promoted Vaduz fare? Will GC finally manage to avoid the relegation playoff under its new leadership? And who will come out on top in the end?

dieci Challenge League 2026/27 Season

All the teams in the dieci Challenge League will kick off their seasons one day before the Super League—namely on Friday, July 24, 2026. Will FC Winterthur secure immediate promotion, or will FC Aarau finally succeed? Will the promoted team Kriens avoid relegation? And then there’s the question of all questions: Who will make the leap to Switzerland’s top division at the end of the season?
