From June 12 to 22, 2025, the Tour de Suisse will roll through Switzerland and Italy. It starts with a novelty: for the first time, the women will open the race. Four challenging stages will mark the fifth anniversary of the women's tour. Immediately afterwards, the men will compete in eight stages through two countries.
For the first time, the women's race will kick off with a highlight. From June 12 to 15, the fifth edition of the Tour de Suisse Women will run over four stages from Gstaad to Küssnacht. A total of 500 kilometers and around 7,000 vertical meters await the riders.
Sports Director David Loosli is convinced of the new format: "With over 500 kilometers and almost 7,000 meters of altitude spread over four stages, the Tour de Suisse Women 2025 is the longest and therefore probably the toughest women's tour since its launch in 2021".
The women's final day falls on the so-called "Super Sunday". The men will then also start in Küssnacht and open the 88th edition of the traditional race.
The 88th edition of the men's Tour de Suisse begins on Sunday, June 15, 2025, directly after the women's final. Over eight stages, the race leads through Switzerland and as far as Valchiavenna in Italy. The tour ends on June 22 with a mountain time trial to the Stockhütte - a highlight that, as experience shows, ensures excitement right up to the last moment.
In total, over 1,300 kilometers and more than 20,000 meters of altitude are on the agenda. The geographical framework of the tour is also remarkable: although the start and finish locations - Küssnacht and the Stockhütte near Beckenried - are only around 16 kilometers apart as the crow flies, the field of riders will cross entire regions with a wide variety of terrain, altitude profiles and weather conditions on their eight-day journey. This means that the Tour de Suisse will remain true to its reputation as the most challenging stage race in Switzerland in 2025.
The Tour de Suisse is expanding its offering in 2025 to include a new spectator experience. In cooperation with Ticketcorner, VIP areas with the best view, culinary accompaniment and supporting program will be created along the route.
