Due to poor weather conditions, this year's lake crossing in Zurich has been postponed by one week. New date is July 10, 2024.
The Zurich City Lake Crossing has been postponed from July 3 to July 10, 2024 due to unfavorable weather forecasts. The organizing committee made this decision after careful consideration of safety aspects for the participants. The event, which attracts thousands of swimming enthusiasts, will start as usual at Mythenquai and finish at Tiefenbrunnen lido.
The new date is intended to ensure that participants can swim the 1.5-kilometre route across Lake Zurich in optimal conditions. The weather forecasts for July 10 are promising and give hope for a sunny day.
As in previous years, extensive safety measures will be in place, including lifeguards and boats along the route. Advance ticket sales start next Monday at exactly 12.00 noon.
