Ron Carter

Nice concert, though not exceptional. The big band around Ron Carter was good (though some of the soloists were obviously very young (maybe not in age but in experience), sometimes a bit too scholarly (and, for some, obviously suffering from stage fright...). The pianist was exceptional, as well as the director (very good introductions of the pieces, very discreet and elegant presence!). The arrangements of the pieces were definitely very good and pleasurable, but the systematic recourse to one...

La réputation de Ron Carter est surfaite; cestuin contrebassiste comme tant dautres. Le concert était excellent grâce au musiciens allemands et au présentateur new-yorkais.

Once again, the concert was much too short! Tickets are always getting more expensive - even have to pay for printing my own tickets !!!! - and the concerts are always getting shorter. Less and less for the same money!
