When a Knie calls for a show, it's going to be spectacular. Rolf Knie, the painter from the famous circus dynasty, is launching a new project close to his heart in 2025: The Salon Spectacle. From September 18 to October 5, 2025, the region's first mirrored tent will open its doors on the Bloom site in Rapperswil for an experience that will tantalize all the senses.
The concept alone is convincing: spectacular acts merge with an exclusive 4-course gourmet menu in a historic mirror tent. All-rounder and show professional Rolf Knie pulls out all the stops and promises "a culinary, cultural event that is so entertaining that no one will think of looking at their cell phone during the meal".
Adrian Bührer and Tarik Lange from the renowned PUR Hurden restaurant will take care of the culinary side of things. Bührer, who has been awarded one Michelin star and 16 Gault Millau points, will work with Lange to create an exclusive menu using regional products - from flamed Ticino salmon to tender Angus beef entrecôte.
Fabienne Louves will be the musical host of the evening. The versatile singer, actress and entertainer accompanies the audience with her moving voice and natural elegance between the spectacular show acts and the sensational menu.
The international ensemble brings world-class entertainment to Rapperswil: world record holder Rubel Medini conjures up poetic movement on stage, while modern clown Samuel Goodburn provides moments of hilarity with his charm and acrobatic talent. The duo SOS & Victoria hover between reality and dream with illusion and acrobatics, and the trio Bellissimo seduce with playful energy and dancing lightness.
For Rolf Knie, the Salon Spectacle is the perfect combination of tradition and modernity - a common thread that runs through his entire oeuvre. The son of the sixth generation of the Knie circus family brings his decades of experience as a clown, actor and painter to the new project. Parallel to his work as a visual artist, he remains loyal to the entertainment industry and is providing a fresh impetus in the show business with Salon Spectacle.
The dinner shows take place Wednesdays to Saturdays from 7 pm and Sundays from 6 pm. The 4-course gourmet menu is already included in every ticket. Seating is at tables of 6 and 8 as well as in exclusive boxes.
