National League Playoffs 2025: The title fight is on

The quarter-final series in the National League start on Thursday, March 13, and Friday, March 14. The decisive phase of the season is therefore imminent. The coming weeks will show which of the eight remaining teams will come out on top.

The time has finally come again. The best time of the year has begun - at least for ice hockey fans. After the two play-in rounds, the SCL Tigers and EHC Kloten are the last two play-off contenders. So let's get started!

ZSC Lions - EHC Kloten / Lausanne HC - SCL Tigers

On Thursday, March 13, last year's two finalists will start their quarter-final series (best of 7). The defending champions ZSC Lions will face cantonal rivals EHC Kloten right at the start of the playoffs. Excitement is therefore guaranteed. Last year's finalists Lausanne HC face off against the SCL Tigers in the first playoff round. The Emmental side secured their ticket to the playoffs by winning the play-in series against EHC Kloten.

SC Bern - HC Fribourg-Gottéron / EV Zug - HC Davos

One day later, on Friday, March 14, the other four teams will also get into the action. SC Bern will host HC Fribourg-Gottéron. Who will prevail in the duel between the Bears and the Dragons? We'll see... In the last quarter-final duel, EV Zug and record champions HC Davos will face each other.

What happens after the quarter-finals?

The respective semi-finals (best of 7) will then take place from March 29 until April 12 at the latest. The subsequent final series (also best of 7) will begin on April 15. We will know who the 2025 Swiss ice hockey champions are by April 29 at the latest.
