Alecia Beth Moore, better known as P!nk, was born on 8 September 1979 in Doylestown, Pennsylvania. She began her career as a member of the girl group Choice and released her first solo album 'Can't Take Me Home' in 2000. Her second album, 'Missundaztood' (2001), shifted to a pop-rock sound and sold over 13 million copies worldwide. Her third album "Try This" (2003) won the Grammy Award for Best Female Rock Vocal Performance. Her other albums 'I'm Not Dead' (2006), 'Funhouse' (2008), 'The Truth About Love' (2012), 'Beautiful Trauma' (2017) and 'Hurts 2B Human' (2019) were also highly successful. Her latest album 'Trustfall' was released in 2023 and once again reached number 1 in the Swiss charts.
Pink is known for her raspy voice and acrobatic stage performances. She has sold over 135 million records worldwide, making her one of the most successful musicians in the world. She has won three Grammy Awards, two Brit Awards and a Daytime Emmy Award. In 2009, Billboard named Pink "Pop Songs Artist of the Decade", and in 2013 she was named Billboard's "Woman of the Year". She has received numerous other awards and accolades for her achievements in the music business and her impact on pop culture.
Pink grew up in a family with Irish-German-Lithuanian-Jewish roots. She was a competitive gymnast as a child and began performing in Philadelphia clubs at the age of 14. She adopted the nickname "Pink" during her teenage years. Her parents divorced before she was 10.
In her private life, Pink has an equally brilliant story. She met professional motocross racer Carey Hart at the 2001 X Games in Philadelphia. After a brief break-up, Pink proposed to him during a motocross race in June 2005. The couple announced their separation in 2008, but got back together after a period of separation. They have two children, a daughter named Willow Sage Hart, born in June 2011, and a son, born in December 2016. She recorded the hit song "Cover me in sunshine" with her daughter.
